Never ask me to buy computer hardware for you. Because, invariably, the day after the purchase has been made you will find that either the same hardware has dropped dramaticly in price, or that they’ve updated the entire product line.
So I’m going to coin a new phrase: Brent’s Law
Two pages into this new chapter in the book of life. Friday was my last day at the J-O-B.
Today’s Tuesday & I’m sorting through what this all means, trying to get my head around the reality of my life-life merging with my work-life.
Where did this all start? It’s been a few years in the works. I’ve slowly acquired enough clients to keep a constant flow of work coming in the door. Tho this work has been done in the wee hours, it’s been the most gratifying. The volume of work has finally demanded a decision on my part. And so I dive in!
I hope that the work will continue to be gratifying. I hope that the work will not be all-consuming. I fear shortage of BILLABLE work. I fear loss of productivity. I fear working all the time. I hope life will be more flexible. I hope I can travel more with my family & still be productive. I hope to continue the learning & pursuing new technologies with passion.
